I feel i should do up a New Year Resolution...
But i can't really think of anything concrete except:
I should start saving more... at least $500 a month. Can i do it?It will prove to be quite a mean feat for me, but i need to save since i promise my grandma for a holiday! Quite excited actually.
Haven't really decided where to go, but i am keen to go korea (again!) in a different season and visit other areas since my granny hasn't been to Korea too.
Going to Bangkok (again) in April with my EKIJI to celebrate our 10 years' anniversary of friendship! hahaha
Just hope that Bangkok's political situation will be peaceful by then. :(
That i probably will need about 400-500 since we haven't booked hotel too.
Why is money so hard to earn?
Also, may be planning to go some where 'beachy' in May/June with dear.. cuz we miss snorkelling. I don't think i am daring enough to learn diving. No time and no money!
AHHH!! Only travelling is motivating me now.
See, how can saving $500 a month go anywhere?!?!
Tsk.
Anyway, last shopping entry of 2008.
Super cheap for NINE WEST shoes, was on 30% discount and US$10 off!
Can't decide the color, so will sell one off. :P
And the love-hate relationship with VS begins again.
Iris, i bought this color! :)
Ok. Another resolution.
Only maybe 3 pieces of apparels per month?
Or maybe 5? *gulp*

Finally gotten the pics from Dear.
Total: 800 pictures!!
Let's start off with
DAY ONE: On the plane.Departed SG at about 10.45pm, and reached Seoul about 5-6 am the next day, it was a experience for me, stepping out of the airport, as a cold gush of wind blew in, and someone commented it was really like stepping into a fridge!
I knew i will love the weather. :)
Our 1st destination was to
Jeju Island.
So we headed to
Gimpo Airport for our transit flight.
]
1st time in my life, i saw falling snow... covering the land area in no time.
BUT, no more snowing for the rest of my trip. :(
The tour started immediately, after we reached Jeju.
Very tired, but very excited.
Our korean tour guide, Julie, with Jeju's DU DI GONG.
Yongduam(Dragon Head Rock)Can you spot the dragon head?
Me with DU DI GONG, gotta rub his belly for wealth!
We get to shop at
Tapdong Street for an hour but Julie said Seoul is cheaper.
But come to think of it, in Seoul, it seems to be more ex!! :(
So i didn't buy much.
Next we headed to this
Mysterious Road to experience going UPHILL with the vehicle off! Actually it is just a illusion, it was actually downhill.
Not much special actually.. :X
We checked into
Phoenix Island Resort, located by itself at the outskirt of Jeju Island (i think). The scenery around is so beautiful, air is so fresh, weather was so cooling (not chilly).. i feel i could just stay there forever. (Blissful) Sigh.
The resort itself is of minimalistic style, but fully equipped with a huge HD TV, small kitchen, with 2 bedrooms and 2 toilets! How good is that!
We were given some time to wander around before dinner, and i really love scenery there, feel so relaxed and comfortable.
We had our 1st Korean Dinner, it was alright but we were famished!
Retired back to hotel at 8 plus, and knock out at 10 pm, and ready for day 2!
DAY TWO: 1st Stop: Songsan Sunrise Peak A volcanic crater perched out on the eastern tip of Jeju Island.
It was 195m UP, and i climbed all the way up!!
Not easy OK! I was panting like mad when i reached.
Lovely view.
After which, we headed to
Seongeup Folk Village, to learn more about the DA CHANG JING shooting, and i bought HONEY there. FREAKING HEAVY!
Nothing much, there, we had a good laugh, with the '2 seconds' superstar who appeared in DCJ for 2 seconds. She's really funny, and a really good sales promoter. -_-
Next, we went to
Jusangjeolli, also known as 'god's sculpture made by wave and wind' at Daepo coast.
This is really a scenic view, really chilly and cold, sun glaring down on us.
Saw my DU DI GONG AGAIN!
After which, we headed to
Cheonjeyeon Waterfall, supposedly to be 3 tiered waterfall and gorge, but we only saw one, cuz the 1st and 3rd was blocked.
There was this
Seonimgyo Brige, which was really beautifully constructed, with the 7 'xian nu'.
Last stop: Teddy Bear Museum! Many famous people, became bears!! Really cute, and there are SOOO many of them!!
But i miss out on the LV bear, the most expensive bear in the world, cuz she was too busy, out of Korea for a convention! :(
Did you watch goong? :)
We checked into
Lotte Hotel, which was a filming site of 'All In'.
Didn't watch this show though. :X
Didn't take any pics of this hotel, cuz somehow it just pales in comparison to Phoenix, but thinking back, it is probably the 2nd best hotel, cuz thereafter, the hotel were just so-so.
Had my very 1st casino experience...
And i lost 20,000 won. -_-
Say good night to my 2nd boyfriend!
Day 3 - We checked into Jeju Airport to return back to Gimpo Airport for our next destination: MT SORAK!
While waiting for boarding...
Btw, their domestic flights even serve drinks and snacks ok?
We had a 2 hours or so bus ride heading to
Mt Sorak National Park. This is where the chill weather comes in and i totally love it!
It was crowded with people, and we took cable car up to the summit of the mountain!
Seriously, the pictures do no justice to the beautiful sight in view.
Then, we headed to a Temple, passing by a huge Buddha Statue facing North Korea, implicating that one day, they hope North and South Korea would be united.
It was rather late by the time we headed back to bus, and checked into this hotel Kensington Hotel which is well, very squeezy and old as compared to the 2 previous hotels. No pics, cuz it was nothing to be in awe about. :X
Day 4:
My 1st Ski-ing experience!! YongpyongThis is the day we awaited the most (actually i love shopping in Seoul more. :P)
We were really anticipating the day, seeing and touching snow for the 1st time in my life. :)
Those snow on the ground (above) are man made snow, as it still wasn't cold enough and much of the snowfall had melted.
We took a cable car up to the Summit again where we had snow fight!
It was really fun, and i fell, together along with dear cuz he was holding to me la!
Benny, someone we got to know in the tour was laughing the loudest as Dear attacked him with snowballs which hit him directly on his face previously.
We checked into
Greenpia Hotel, to change into our ski outfit!
The hotel (or resort) is a huge relief as compared to the prior day one.
And the whole day is spent ski-ing!
Benny and Yvonne - Very lovely Couple on their part 1 of Honeymoon!
We went back to ski even after dinner!
And it was better cuz not that many people.
And yes, you guess it, i am not a natural on snow.
I cannot do the A to do the brake!! And i have to FALL everytime i want to stop.
SOOO..
I mastered the art of falling ok!
Also, the whole tour group played with fireworks, the ones that were banned in SG. :)
(Quite ex lei the fireworks!)
Then we are like some crazy bunch of tourists cuz many people were looking at us. hahaha
But hey, we can't play such things in SG!
Ski-ing is definitely tiring, and believe it, you sweat quite alot under neath that ski gear! And luckily, we were dead beat cuz we settled the night, sleeping on Tatami in the resort with heated floor.
And that is another fun-filled day, passed by so quickly..
