Ok, Finally edited my pics.
Let's check out my latest BKK trip (AGAIN BKK!??!)
Yes BKK again. hahaha
But this time for something different.
I am not there for shopping. :)
This is a much awaited and NEEDED trip, for dear and I.
Had enough of all the crap at work, the anger and frustration.
We departed for BKK on 19 March evening right after our work.
Reach there like 8 plus, had a expensive but 'not very nice' dinner at the airport.
TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY.
But we left for bkk after work, when we reached there, we were freaking tired.
I booked online this tour: River Kwai + Tiger Temple for 2000B online.
Which is for the 20 March, pick up at 6.45 am at our hotel.
I got to know if you book such tour at KHAO SAN road, it is MUCH cheaper.
Sigh.
Lesson learnt.
Anyway,
We travelled out of Bangkok to KANCHANABURI for our 1st stop to see the Kanchanaburi War cemetery which houses 6000 (i think) soldiers' resting place during the WWI.
There is this calmness at the cemetery, with the stones of the soldiers who gave up their lives in WWII lined up neatly.
Next stop: JEATH museum which stands for JAPAN, ENGLANG, AUSTRALIA, THAILAND and HOLLAND.
It's about in WWII, the P.O.Ws were forced to built this bridge that connect from Java (I think!!) to Kanchanaburi by the Japanese so that they can transport supplies and ammunitions for the purpose of WWII.
The bridge was completed in just a year time, sacrificing an estimate of 15,000 P.O.Ws.
A reminder of how they suffered..
Vintage Car!
Do you dare to sit in this?
It's a dental chair.. more like some electric chair. :X
A real bomb uncovered!
Overlooking the bridge over River Kwai.
Then we headed over to the Bridge over River Kwai.
haha, i dunno why my expression liddat, but it's damn hot and crowded!
We had a train ride, that passes thru the Death Railway, where it chugged and moved very slowly..
We then headed to this 'boat' for our lunch 'on board'.
Super simple affair (included in our package). Dear said it's very nan chi.
But i thought it was ok la.
The whole tour and lunch etc, seems like a family run business.
Everyone is just helping one another, making sure the tourists are satisfied, food is enough, selling drinks for that extra $$$.
I felt it was quite heartwarming. :)
After lunch, we went to this so called Waterfall which looks fake..
But impressive.. but lots of Thai kids were playing in the water, trying to cool off the heat. Dogs roaming around freely, oblivious to the many tourists and kids.
Super adorable little puppy!! He can't really walk stabily, but he is super friendly to everyone!
FINALLY, the much awaited Tiger Temple!
300B for admission which this money will be pooled together to build a Tiger Conservation Area.
It's a long walk to the Tiger Canyon, but animals along the way kept the walking entertained!
I am not crazy, wearing long skirt and sweater on a SUPER HOT day, but i was decked in shorts and singlet which is a NO NO within the temple, so.. no choice.
Finally we reached the Tiger Canyon, where there are a total of 12 tigers (if i rmb correctly) and they were sleeping away the afternoon heat!
They are rather 'tame' as since young, they were taken care by the monks, and they are very familiared with Humans. But if they were shifting in their sleep, or started walking around, then the guide will not bring us there for phototaking.
I LOVE ALL THE PHOTOS!!
THIS TIGER IS SUPER HUGE!!!
Lazy kitty!
There are also 2 little cubs, outside the tiger Canyon.
Many animals roam around the whole place..
Super cute lil piggy which just poses for you when you have a camera in your hand!
Vain pig! :P
Totally love this place.
I really hope the tigers will have a safe and conducive environment, away from those DAMN poachers (who ought to be SKINNED alive).
We ended the day visit, and it is about 2 hours plus ride back to BKK.
Cleaned and washed up, we headed to our FAVOURITE FUJI restaurant and feasted ourselves with the delicious japanese food!!
We ordered so much that it cost $30 each, but we were very very very satisfied. :)
DAY 2: We were the only 2 persons that is going to Pattaya, so we had a COMFORTABLE mini van all for ourselves!!
It is also about 2 hours drive from BKK, so we had rest along the way.
We reached mini Siam but decided to give it a miss as we were more excited about Koh Larn! There's go kart too, which we were very tempted to try out, but it was too early..
Waited for people to gather and we got on this mini dunno-is-it-a-boat boat.
Then we had to change into this errmmm.. bigger boat which travelled SUPER slowly to Koh Larn.
Along the way, we saw people playing parasailing which got us really really excited!!
So the in charge was asking around to see who is interested.
But it is not cheap, 500B, dunno if we are kana chopped, but aiya.
We just went for it!
It was a great experience, to be 'hanging' up there in the air, over seeing the green scenery and clear blue sky..
LANDED!!
But no pics of me, as when i was up there, dear was queuing.
We also took up the offer of underwater walking, where we get to walk on the seabed, able to touch corals, sea urchin, feeding the tiny fishes.
However, the view wasn't say very spectacular...
I much much prefer to play JETSKI!!!!
It's damn fun and scary at the same time as it accelerates SUPER fast, with the wave against you, and sea water splashing.
It is the best!!
OH YES!
Forgot about the beach..
It's SUPER beautiful, with very clear seawater and super fine sands..
Absolutely the best place to relax and frolick under the sun.
We didn't take much pics as we were pretty much roaming around the place, lazy to bring the camera..
And finally, while waiting to go back to Pattaya..
Happy, but sun burnt.
One day, i will go back to Koh Larn again. :)
Last day, we finally had the chance to sleep in.
Had a great stay at Centrepoint Petchburi.
Super comfy and spacious room.
What is Bangkok without shopping!!
So the last day is for me! To shop!
I actually spent about 4 hours shopping only.
Not really in the mood, as i was very tired and sun burnt, shoulders were aching.
But we never miss out our favourite Platinum Mall food court.
Where we feasted ourselves with the tasty Beef Soup, my fav mango sticky rice, dear's fav pig blood soup, cheese sausage and crepes!!
Ahh, damn hungry now. :X
And this 3 days just whizzed thru..
Back to Reality.
But, it's a awesome memories to keep.
Let's go travelling soon, dear!
@ 2:29 AM
hahahaa.
I was 'peeping' into my younger cousin blog (without his knowledge cuz he put his blog link in his msn so i kaypo lor) and he said this:
Somehow, we are just toys with lives that are alrdy planned out to be played about by someone. You can control your life, but whatever you do, like me blogging now, is alrdy made up. Even when you are controlling your own life, it's alrdy planned out that you will do it.
Thank you!
Think about it. If we play Sims2, someone is playing us like Sims2 too. What the hell.
I totally agree with him.
In fact, iris and I had this funny idea that, we are probably boxed up into this tiny area called EARTH where something HIGH up there is controlling us.
Except that they are better game programmers..
Then thinking, hey it is not a bad idea to create some earthlings that re create sims 2, a similar concept to them?
And sims, started out with normal basic actions, eat sleep work shit. Friends lovers married divorced etc.
Then sims 2 upgrade to be able to go on date, shop around, club, having pets, modifying looks etc.
And now sims 3 is coming!!!
Quite excited, but it will only be out in 2009.
Back to the topic.
So why the hell the thingy up there who is supposedly controlling me, give me so much pimples, small eyes, bad figure and boring job!
Eh, when i play sims 2, i like to make my character mei mei de lor, very rich one also, can own shop selling clothes all that..
WHY I DUN HAVE???
So biased one.
Bleugh.
I guess everything is all related.. and probably pre destined.
We will have to appreciate what we have before us. :)
OMG.
Super random entry at 2.35 am!!
I HAVENT BLOG ABOUT MY BKK TRIP!!

So damn pek ceh.
Does the freaking cold branch look like a damn INFORMATION COUNTER!?!?!?!
I had enough of people asking me,
Is there a money changer?
Where is HSBC, citibank etc?
Where is the toilet?
Where to take the monorail to Sentosa?
How to go sentosa?
Where is your bank?
Can i change money here?
I need some changes, can change here?
And one million and one irritating questions.
DAMN!
Does the freaking branch have a HUGE letter 'i' on top!?!?!?!?
PISSED.
One stupid person just came and asked 'Where is HSBC??'.
I gave him the directions and he said i can't find!
SO??? You expect me to escort you to HSBC???
So i say, go find a information counter, there is one on this level.
FREAKING PISSED.
Ok, end of ranting.
i felt better.
Wanted to blog about my getaway trip but pics are at home!!!
