Though he can already smelt his presents the other day when i got home.
hurhur.
I wanted to buy his a dog birthday cake but i dunno where to get it!!
Make do with a dog food thingy, which actually smell quite good.
hurhur.
See how handsome and smart he was that day!
He's wearing a burberrys inspired shirt ok?
So suave!!
He looks like a lil boy, waiting for the candle to light!
LOL.
Probably making a wish yeah?
hahaha.
I asked him to blow his candle, but he dunno how to... hhahaha.. so bobian.. we helped him!! hurhur.
Him with his new precious and huge doggie bone, which is too big for a chihuahua.. haha.. but he loves such bone.
I LOVE YOU, BATMAN!! Muacks*
Sunday, June 24, 2007 @ 2:41 PM
Finally, the 'long awaited' HK entry.
Lol.
Day One
We reached HK like noon time, and by the time we settled everything and me being stupid, thought that i lost 1000HKD = 200 SGD (wahahahaha) and getting lost just trying to get to
ARYGLE CENTER @ Mongkok MTR.
We were famished! Had their KFC, which is URGH!!
Worse than SG one..
TW one has the best KFC chicken so far!
We only managed to comb the 1st and 2nd level i think...
Didn't buy much as we know we're gonna go back again.
Then we head to Temple Street - Spice Crab Restaurant.
IMO, it's rather ex and the food was so so..
Only the clams were good..
Not very value for money..
Next stop: XING GUANG DA DAO
How to go: TST station(i think!) Walk along the direction given. You have to walk quite a distance, through shopping centers etc.
Ah, what is the name in english?
The scenery was breath-taking.. but the lights performance was so so.. probably because i expected more.. maybe the buildings will start dancing???
hahaha.
It was so foggy that day that quite a few buildings disappeared by half and were hidden inside the clouds!
Look quite creepy though.. lol.. like some end of the world thingy.. hurhur.
After that, we walked to
Sweet Dynasty!
Do note, they move further down, previous location is now SASA, and i think there will be a waiter/waitress standing in front to direct customers to the new location.
Address on the card i took: G/F 100 Canton Road, Tsimshatsui, Kowloon.Yeap, so girls going there... remember to take down the street name all that..It is not exactly very prominent.
Cuz we actually had quite a hard time to locate it..
The food!!
I love the desserts.. AWESOME.
Had some mango thingy.. forgot wat it is called..
And the Prawn zhu chang fen... GOOD!!
Price wise, the stuffs are quite ex.. on par with Crystal Jade..
But i will take Sweet Dynasty anytime!!
Then, we walked and walked.. and passed by
Hui Lau Shan!
The dessert stores is everywhere in HK, dont have to worry that you will miss it.
The mango dessert were superb too!
Then we walked all the way back to Shamrock hotel @ jordan to get ready for day 2!
DAY TWO:
OCEAN PARK!!How to go: admiralty mtr station, then you can choose to purchase the tix directly at the bus interchange. Take 629.
I have alot of pics of Ocean park.
And the horrible rainy weather did dampen our mood..
We spent half of the day, walking around wet.. and bought this super bo hua SG$5 raincoat...
Luckily the sky cleared around early noon...
AND THE RIDES ARE BACK FOR OPERATION!
We spent the whole day 2 in ocean park so.. let the pics do the talking yeah?
To get around Ocean park, you have to take their LONG LONG escalators and cable cars as the place is separated into HIGHLAND and LOWLAND.
Ahh.. So many pics..
LOL.
We headed back to hotel to bathe and change..
And we started our Mission Impossible: Finding Cheese Fondue.
WTH. We took about 30 mins??? To find and find and find..
Found the stupid Cali Fitness place but no cheese fondue????
Why people say nice nice nice, nv say how to go exactly one??
SOB.
Sad.
End up we settled our meals at Azabu Sabo or Azabo Sabo?? which is BOOO!!
I can't rmb what happen after that though.. we went Ladies' street night market is it??
Anyway, we went there.. and i actually kinda like the place though many peopl said it is very touristy..
Bought a motorcycle bag (Balengacia (whatever you spell it) inspired) for 130HKD!
The seller quoted me 280 HKD initially ok??
Lucky dear dear was thick skinned enough to help me slash price.. hehehe
Thank you dear dear!
I think we went till quite late, and retired.. for day 3!!!
DAY THREE = PURELY SHOPPING = HEAVEN.
Basically, for shopping, just comb,
Fa Yuen Street @ Mongkok, the area towards Prince Edward MTR. Bought quite a few tops there, and shoes..
Accompanied dear dear to
GOLDFISH STREET too, which is just a few streets away from Fa Yuen. You can find.. well.. fishes.. and some pet stuffs. :)
The dogs there were adorable!!
I was missing batman badly when i was there.. hahaa
I realised i can't rmb what we did on day 3...
OMG...
But basically, it's just shopping shopping shopping!!
At night, we headed to
THE PEAKHow to go: Take to Central MTR, you have to walk quite distance to the TRAM station.
Ask for directions! We were a lil lost there. Lol.
The tram trip up was.. EXPERIENCE!
Suddenly every buildings look like diagonal.. the way up was rather steep.
I prefer The Peak to the XING GUANG DA DAO, but again, it was foggy.. so.. :(
And that ends of day 3..
DAY FOUR: We headed to this dim sum place which i read in a HK mag.. BUT when we reached.. IT IS CLOSED!! NOT OPEN YET!!!!
*cries*
Luckily, mel noticed a dim sum place previously and we made our way down..
THE BEST DIM SUM I EVER HAD.
We ordered like there's no tmr.
AND WE WERE BLOODY FULL.
I think the waitresses must be thinking these 4 siao tourists.. dunno will pay or not lor.. hahaha
I can't rmb the name of the restaurant.. but it is called Fisherman something.
In HK, i am just a follower.. where they go, i follow.. so i wasn't too clear on the details. :X
Then we get ourselves ready for real action and full time... SHOPPING!!!
OMG!
We bought like MANY MANY MANY Stuffs at Arygle.. cuz we planned that the last day some how... regrets..could have even gotten more!!
And we went back to Fa Yuen street and ladies street cuz i wanted to exchange my jeans size, and dear and mel wanted to buy those knock off watches for their dads.
The workmanship and quality were damn good!!
I succumbed to a knock off Prada Bag, which is only about SG$30!!
The quality is very good.
One satisfied customer here!
Lol.
It was a mad shopping rush.. and we headed back to hotel to PACK.
See how horrible our luggages are.
AND, we headed to HKIA to end off our graduation trip..
GOODBYE HK!!
I will be back next yr.
wahahhaa.
FINALLY.
I am done blogging about my HK trip.
Justice Yeo, my blog is not dead!
wahahha

DAY FOUR!
1st Stop:
Jiu Fen.How to go? Taipei Main Station, purchase tix for train to Jiu Fen.
Woke up early for Jiu Fen as i was told it will be hot and stuffy and super crowded during noon.
But, weather was cold in the morning!
I am in my cardigan almost the whole time.
The journey to Jiu fen took about 1 hr.
Got to take mrt to tpe main, then train to jiu fen, and then a bus up.
And we reached!
The place is quite tourist-y, but overall i quite like the place.
I TOTALLY LOVE THE
ALMOND MILK TEA or sth liddat!
SO GOOD CAN!
Bought the packets one back, but yet to try... ><
The scenery was lovely! And cold.. brrr..
And we are, once again, decked in shorts. :/
Dear bought me a princess voodoo doll!
wah, look at my horrible panda eyes. :(
Stayed for the morning, till about 12 plus, and headed back to the railway station to board back to the TPE main station.
It's really confusing at the railway station!
Apparently, there's 2 types of trains.. one is more of a 'deluxe' kind, which the seats are much comfortable and more leg room, while the other one was like, normal?
And they didnt have any maps or things like that to explain the route, so we got kinda lost!
Waited for about 15 mins, and realised we missed the 1st train, the 'normal' one, so we end up taking the 'deluxe' one, which is 10NT more.
You got to top up at the main station when you arrive.
Oh, when we are at station, we saw this group of teenagers, posing and taking lots of photos! Most prob are those tw auction sellers. How fun!
But the models not pretty one. :X
After Jiu Fen, we headed straight to
DanShui!How to go? Danshui Station
It was drizzling so the weather was rather cold (again!)
I kinda like this place too! Very relaxing, we went on a weekend, so there's actually quite a lot of families, and kids (...)
There's actually 2 stretch of roads to explore.
One is facing the sea, the other is a lane.
We tried this
BBQ sotong thing, damn good!
And we were being tok!
We bought at the very 1st stall we see at the front, for 100NT (i think)
But as you walk further in, there are many similar stalls selling for only 60NT!
Dear and i bought another one!
Tried the
TALL icecream!
Taste just like normal ice cream, just that it is... tall?
Bleugh.
We bought ferry tix to the
Fisherman's Wharf! The tix is quite ex i rmb, and alot of people went to Bali but we didnt.
One guy in charge of these ferries told us there's nothing there, ppl go there cuz.. well... the tix are cheaper than FW. :/
The ferry ride was awesome!
Cold and windy?
hahaha..
We're reaching!
We're here!
As it was kinda early, and nothing much to do cuz the bridge hasn't lighted up, so dear decided that we should get a potrait of us drawn!
Cost 600NT OK!
So ex lor..
But he insisted...
SO WE DID IT!
The artist drew me 1st, so i had to keep the same expression the whole time.
Tiring can..
See the progress!
She took about 10 mins ( i think) to draw me (actually quite ez to draw me wat! Eyes so small, so plain! Wahahah) then it was dear's turn!
It feels so good to be able to make faces while iris and mel helped us to take the pics!
And it's dear's turn!
And the finishing touch!
I think doesn't really look like me lei..
I prettier in real hor?
hurhur.
After that, we headed up the bridge!
There's many really cute and well behaved dogs, walking around!
This is one handsome and very well trained golden retriever!
Jumping shots! AGAIN!
The sky soon darkened and the lights were up!
Pretty!~
It was like 7-8 plus when we headed back, and went to
XIMENDING again!
I prefer XMD at night when all the buildings lit up and the whole place was bustling with people!
There was this street performance.. so we go kaypo kaypo...
This guy was went on the show of 'ZONG YI DA GE DA' (eh i know this show ok? Cuz my dad always watch.. haha) and he is damn fit and rather good looking!
But too many people and hungry to hang around, so we headed to this BBQ steamboat buffet just next to RAINBOW HOTEL!
The food is good!!
And the best part?
Free flow of Haagen Dazs and MEIJI icecream.
SHIOK! SHUANG!
It's about SG$20 per person.
Cheap!
No nice pics, cuz.. i dunno? hah.
But the service is a tad slow.. :/
Retire for the day... for day five!
__________________________________________________________________________
DAY FIVE - LAST DAY!
1st stop:
TAIPEI 101Actually nothing much there... Just to see the tall tall building..
We weren't really keen on taking the elevator up, so we skip that.
Walk around, went to NYNY, nothing much too.
Just those higher end shops and whatnots.
But we had this tasty icecream, which i can't rmb what is it called.
Quite ex too.
Had lunch at taipei 101.
What dear had was quite good..
3 of us ordered some noodle soup thing.. and the bowl damn big la!
Can put ur whole face in.
hahaha.
Initially plan to go
Sun Yat Sen memorial Hall, but it was drizzling, and no one wants to see a dead man's hall :X, so we cancel that out.
HEADED BACK TO
WUFENPU!!
Bought more stuffs than day 2.
Definitely more crowded, probably cuz it is a weekend.
I love shopping!!
Dear and i decided to head back to hotel to unload cuz our loots are quite heavy while iris and mel headed to the underground mall for more shopping!
Met up again at XMD (AGAIN!) in the evening cuz we die die must eat the
SNOW ICE and
AH ZONG MIAN XIAN before we leave Taipei!
Look at the crowd!
I want a bowl of mian xian now!
And the fantabulous SNOW ICE!!
OMG.
I am missing my strawberry snow ice right now.
After XMD, we went back to
SHIHLIN NIGHT MARKET for the 2nd round of food!!
Zhu xie tang (again)
Liang Mian (again)
Tried the oyster mee sua but lose out to ah zong...
Time for XXL chicken again!
The happiness in our faces...
whaahaha.
Oh yes, we qie the basketball game.. and i lost!!
AIYO, no strength!
tsk tsk.
Was supposed to treat them the 2nd round, but somehow we didnt play again..
Went to the other area of shopping, which we didn't explore previously.
DAMN! We missed out on alot stuffs the 1st time we went!~
ALOT MORE THINGS to buy, and quite cheap..
Fake AE, AF, Levis and etc...
Bought a pack of tees for dear! Hope you love it!
What is ironic is that, the stall was selling fake levis tees just opposite a Levis store! wahhahaa..
The designs and quality are very good.
Iris and mel da mai te mai for their bros, fathers and potential.. candidates? :X
No pics while we were shopping cuz it was really crowded and we were carrying our loots...
I love shihlin!
AND, i saw this Taiwan Basketball player!!
I like their bball channel man.
3 hours ago, i was watching that guy and his team on tv in our hotel...
3 hours later, he was at shihlin! wahahaha.
So cool lei!
hahaha..
Then we explore the area...
Dear finally bought a sandals to replace the spoilt one :X
THEN WE SAW AH ZONG MIAN XIAN!!
Dear got really hyped up by this..
'Should i eat another bowl ah?'
And he did!
Dear, you found gold or treasure?
So happy!
Lol.
Walked around until 11 plus.. and alot of stalls are closing..
We didn't manage to explore all sadly. :(
And the stupid patrol police came at the same time and all the make shift stalls started fleeing into the dark corners of the street!
Definitely an eye opener. :P
Took taxi back to hotel...(the ride was rather expensive, on par with SG's rate)
and we end our TAIPEI trip...
FOR
HONG KONG!!!
